This is one of those “feel good” stories. We all hear stories every other day about a child getting lost and sadly a lot of the times it ends with them finding a body. When I heard about this boy who got lost in the woods I didn’t know what to think. As day three came I was rather saddened to hear that he still wasn’t found. Wonderfully he was found, disorientated and dehydrated by “much alive”- Fox News. So enjoy a change of typical news with a happy ending, I know if it was someone in my family I would be praising God right now. I can’t imagine the sadness they dealt with over the past few days but I’m sure they are hugging him harder than ever before. I know when Kodie (my wife) went away for basic training and than advanced training once she got back I loved her ever more. I’m sure with even more intensity this family can sit down and realize what a precious thing they have.

I don’t have much of a reason in posting this other than sharing good news. I’ve heard some horrific news stories over the years and recently. The things people do often amaze me, I understand the darkness in this world but I can never imagine doing these things people do. All you have to do is turn on the news and you will hear some insane deed someone has committed. Right above this story on foxnews.com there is a story about terrorists using children in their suicide bombings.

“Maj. Gen. Michael Barbero, deputy director for regional operations on the Joint Staff, told reporters that a vehicle was waved through a U.S. military checkpoint because two children were visible in the back seat.

‘Children in the back seat lowered suspicion, (so) we let it move through, they parked the vehicle, the adults run out and detonate it with the children in the back,’ Barbero said.

What is wrong with people? Hate is so thick in people that they will do such horrible things; acts that make you wonder what kind of demon inhabits their minds. Any murder for any reason is wrong and I don’t see those as appropriate but there are a lot of people that take it beyond that. Any person that can kill their innocent child is one human being that deserves a painful death; I can’t imagine any reasonable excuse for such an act. What does a person say after killing a child/infant? A crying child is no excuse to throw them in a dumpster or microwave (source). The main argument of pro-choicers against people like me is “how can you be pro-life and pro death penalty”? That’s a rather stupid question if you ask me. I support punishing people who kill the innocent, people who rape and murder little children. How can you equate that to an innocent unborn child? If you can take the life of a precious child or any person for that matter you deserve justice and if that justice is the death penalty it’s what you deserve. If you’re a sleazy girl who got knocked up because you sleep around on weekends you don’t need abortion you need to learn to use a condom.

From a biblical stance it’s not a surprise pertaining to the rise of obscene acts. The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and people who actively “resist the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-9; see also 2 Thessalonians 2:3). Don’t be discouraged by these events, just because the times are getting worse doesn’t mean God has fallen off the throne. Keep His word on your mind and prayers on the tip of your tongue and you will prosper even among evil. Being full of the Spirit of God is never a bad thing and you can always count on Him to help you through. As Daunting as the amount of bad news stories are we know the source of love and if we act in that love we can affect this generation for the better.
