One of the most interesting topics of discussion at today’s debate with Ahmadinejad was the comment he made about there being “no gays in Iran.” Not only is that not true, gays have been known to be hung in Iran for being gay! This is something that he can’t hide or lie about. Sure he can stand in front of any number of people and spit lies but we’re not going to buy it. Considering what they do to gays maybe he meant to say “there will be no gays.”

No only are there gays, they recently held a public event where two gay teens were hung. If you wish to see the pictures taken of the even you can see those here. So while he makes ridiculous comments in an open forum those college students sat and gladly listened. I saw several students on Fox constantly saying that we “need and open forum” and that “all opinions need to be discussed.” I explained in my last post that it’s not about open discussion, he barely answered anything and all he did was ask questions. He was here to spin the truth and to fuel his cause.

The students at CSU proudly cheered Ahmadinejad several times, only booing him once, during the gay statement. They should have booed him plenty of other times, such as when he tried to claim women in Iran are the “freest woman in the world.” This is another fabricated lie that anyone who knows about Iran knows is a flat out lie. Once you sit back and think about this circus it is very clear that this should never have happened. The students may be excited about the “free exchange of thought” but once he leaves this country and enters his own the free exchange will be used at our expense. It was not necessary and is proven by the useless rhetoric that spewed from his mouth.
