Hollywood loves dictators, I don’t get it but they go nuts for them. Kevin Spacey is the latest to meet one of the lefts’ biggest heroes, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Chavez is famously critical of the United States but that hasn’t stopped several of the Hollywood left from meeting and showing their love to their favorite man in power. Spacey spent three hours with Chavez and neither spoke to media afterwards.

Hours prior to their luncheon, Spacey spent time visiting a $13 million film studio founded last year by the government to support Venezuelan film making. There were no press releases or information from Spacey on the reason of such a visit.

Hollywood Heart Hugo

Other recent Hollywood stars have blessed Chavez with their presence; these include Sean Penn and Danny Glover. Chavez has states that he hopes Venezuela can produce it’s own films as an alternative to the “cultural imperialism” of Hollywood. Even though he speaks down on Hollywood he has often spoken rather admiringly about such films.

U.N. No Show

Fox is reporting, for the past few hours, that Hugo will be not appearing at the U.N. meetings this week. Michelle points out that, maybe all that sulfur he complained about last year is keeping him away. Either way Hollywood’s love affair with such figures is disheartening, spitting in the face of your own country is the lowest for of anti-patriotism.
