Conservative Talk Radio Under Fire

Michael_Savage_580Talk radio is a stronghold for Conservatives. Since the media is smeared with left-wing bias the right have found common ground on the radio. People like me get annoyed by the constant garbage on CNN and the like so we turn on the radio, if the left had their way they would take that away and replace it with the same trash you see on TV.

Rush and Bill are not the only conservative talk radio hosts under fire. Syndicated radio talk-show host Michael Savage, who hails from San Fran, has also been under fire. Michael is known for for his harsh and straight to the point attitude, he’s definitely not for everyone. However, it doesn’t change the fact that he is allowed to say what he says.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors took it upon themselves to condemn Savage. This is not the first time that they attempted to do so, a previous vote cast in August met a 9-1 tally which did not pass. So, they decided to try and hammer it through again and for whatever reason that one person that cared about freedom of speech decided caved.

The previous vote was 9-1, with third generation San Franciscan Ed Jew turning in the veto vote, after getting up and affirming Savage’s First Amendment right to express his opinion.

“For the record, I do not agree with comments allegedly made by Mr. Savage, but the First Amendment gives him the right to make those comments,” Jew said.

Sandoval responded with a personal challenge to Jew.

“If this commentary was directed at the Chinese-American or the Asian community, you would not be resorting to this rigid formalism on your part,” he said.

It seems that the left have a new method of dealing with popular right wing commentators. They are taking their free time to use their power to condemn private citizens. While the House is sitting on your taxes they are using that time to condemn Rush while they should be doing something productive. But they can’t, they know they can’t win in an actual battle against the right so they fight these virtual battles that mean absolutely nothing.
