PresidentBillClintonMay282003Disk2074 One thing is clear, our safety is more important than our image. If our battle against radical Islam is seen as wrong, does that make it wrong? Other countries may look at the US as going over the edge, perhaps doing too much to protect themselves. We are surely not the only nation targeted by terrorism. The fact is that we are fighting terrorism, which in affect will weaken it world wide, so how can anyone be against this? Is image or safety more important? This is something that should not be of issue, we must protect our country at all causes and that comes before our image.

People have been wondering, ‘If Hillary won, what would Bill do?’ It’s a scary thought but it’s possible that The Clintons could be in office yet again. Even though it’s a Hillary campaign, only a fool thinks it will be a Hillary presidency. If Bill is in office, as first lady, it’s not much different than if he was President again himself. This is what you call a loophole. So what would Bill be doing?

If Hillary Clinton wins the US presidency, Bill Clinton will be given the job of repairing America’s damaged international reputation, the former president tells the Guardian in an interview today.

Mr Clinton, 61, reveals that his wife has said she would ask him to “go out and immediately restore America’s standing, go out and tell people America was open for business and cooperation again” after eight years marked by unilateralist policies that have “enrage[d] the world”.

I see, so he’s going to be out sucking up, ahem, talking to other world leaders and reassuring them that we promise not to fight terrorism ever again? How will we please the world leaders? Are we going to cut our military in half and withdrawal them from all countries except our own? Perhaps Bill will show these people the oval office, bring back some good ol’ memories?

“The average American knows instinctively that we have almost no problems in the world that we can solve all by ourselves,” he says. “And that, I think, is helping her candidacy, because people believe - I think rightly - that if she were elected she would quickly move to restore our standing in the world, and tell people there may be a few occasions when we have to do something on our own, but our strong preference is going to be to be cooperative.”

Ah, I see what this is. It’s the old ‘we’re fighting alone’ shtick? What a joke. What country is under constant threat from terrorism? Surely, plenty of countries, but only we can be responsible for ourselves. Thanks to your brilliant commanding, Mr. Clinton, Usama was free to plan and kill thousands of our people. What are you going to do? Let the next big attack develop? The last thing we need is Clinton White House round three.

Mr Clinton argues that American voters are tiring of a politics and media that have been under the sway of “the most ideological, rightwing element of the Republican party”, leading to a national climate in which “three-dimensional reality” has been turned into “two-dimensional cartoons, and then [the rightwing media] try to get people to divide up on the basis of whether you like the cartoon or not … I want the American people to stop rewarding the ideological wing of the Republican party, so we can have a centre-left party and a centre-right party and they can have real debates about real things.”

What? Those right-wing news media centers like CNN and MSNBC? Who is he kidding? I don’t think we need an even farther left-wing media, the problem now is that they are far too left as it is. More center would be great, but if you consider the current media “right-wing” you might want to turn the TV on sometime. I know what he’s saying however, he means that we need to force FoxNews to be more left-wing. Other than that I’m sure he would love to see the fairness doctrine go live and center to take out conservative talk radio, no thanks Bill!

Mr Clinton says his wife’s image as a ruthlessly ambitious politician is unfair. “Contrary to the image that has been cultivated about my wife, she’s always been a rather reluctant electoral person,” he says. Soon after they met, he says, he suggested they split up so that both could enter politics. But she told him: “You know, it’s just not my thing … I don’t know if people would ever want to vote for me. I’m just too outspoken.”

Mr Clinton reveals that he advised Tony Blair to take a break after leaving No 10, but said there was no way he could turn down the opportunity to become an international envoy to the Middle East. “He and I care too much about the Middle East peace,” he says.

All I can say is; how pathetic. Bill Clinton, wondering the globe, saving America’s identity! Perhaps he would agree with Obama’s crazy nuclear disarmament plan, while he’s at it he can just go ahead and submit our armed forces to the U.N. I have a suggestion for Mr. Clinton, just go home and try to enjoy retirement. The longer you stay out in public the more likely you are to become the next Jimmy Carter. Please, we know America needs you but go take a nap before you hurt yourself.
