The Daily Conservative has come a long way. When I first started writing I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. I passionately dived into blogging and did everything I could to get the news out in the manner I saw fit. Not even a year old, The Daily Conservative has grown from a simple little blog to something that I take pride in. Things haven’t been perfect, I’ve made some mistakes, but in the end the learning process has been an amazing trip.

The Growing Pains.

One thing that has been the hardest for me has been competing with such a large amount of highly talented, well known bloggers. Grammatical errors, judgmental errors and all errors in general are not uncommon on this blog. I am a college dropout that didn’t receive a well rounded education growing up and has had to learn everything as I went. I don’t want to hide the fact that I am not a master of the English language. Not only has my Grammar been under scrutiny it’s obvious that I an amateur when it comes to politics. Still I find the passion within myself to continue on. One day I hope to be in the list of names of well known bloggers that helped shape the future of blogging it self. Right now the only thing I can do is work towards perfection. Hopefully some of you come along with me.

Shaping my Political Views.

While I have spent time researching topics and finding news to report on I have learned a lot and in the middle of it all discovered what I really believe in. I have believed one thing and then turned around and changed my mind completely. Not only once but twice. This isn’t because I’m indecisive. I am simply taking it all in and relaying it to my readers. Perhaps this is a mistake. I tend to treat TDC as a personal blog to speak out through and because of that I tend to think out loud. Like every other person alive I tend to change my opinion on things. You may find this frustrating but I hope you can appreciate my honesty. Even if we disagree I hope to hear everything you have to talk about. After all I am writing for you and without your input my ramblings float into the air and dissolve without any purpose.

Growing up.

In the beginning, naming the blog “The Daily Conservative” was nothing more than me labeling my site with something I thought was nice and catchy. I was a conservative but I had no idea how much I would learn over the next couple months, the stances I would take or the politicians I would support. As a young adult everything is a learning process and I’m trying to make the best of it. I don’t promise to always be right or to make sense all of the time. All I can offer is the sincere promise to always speak my heart. I’m not here to hold up any politician and I’m not in any one’s back pocket so you’ll always read my honest opinions. I’m a very typical 22 year old that is trying to make it in a harsh world. I hope to learn more each day and to one day be a great blogger. I hope you enjoy all I have to say and enjoy my opinion on politics, news and everyday events.
