Understanding the Obama Phenomenon
-
Barack Obama is a mirage, a brilliantly painted picture for the entire world to gander at. He has done nothing extraordinary enough to get to the stage of fame he has reached. In all reality Obama is adored for the image he has craftily created for himself. Obama is a populist; he says what people want to hear and makes them feel good. Hope, everyone loves hope. He gives off the impression that he is a man that cares. But does he care? Is he just saying what he needs to get to the White House?
Of course he is. Reverend Wright, Obama’s pastor for 20 years, admitted “I do what I do. He does what politicians do. So that what happened in Philadelphia where he had to respond to the sound bytes, he responded as a politician.” There probably isn’t anyone, other than Obama’s parents, that would know him better than his pastor does. So these words carry a lot of weight. Obama is no savior, he’s not our messiah; he’s just another political preacher.
Barack Obama is the symbol of a minority taking on the white man and bringing home his scalp. He’s the one that can take the whitey out of power. Make him bow down and hand over the keys to his car and security code to his bank accounts. All this talk about “equality” and “free health care” only adds to this notion. You sat and watched all those people become rich and famous while you worked yourself to the bone in those factories, it’s payback time.
It’s not just a race issue. You could look at this and say, “He’s only winning because he’s black.” Believing that would be leaving out a large part of the equation. He’s black but he’s also white enough not to alienate the white folks they so despise. I’ve been called a racist, the Republican Party is constantly being called racist, it’s interesting at this moment that the Democratic Party is championing a man who calls racists and terrorists his friends. Am I the one with a race issue? No, I talk about them frankly but strongly believe that we are all created equally, I say that with the utmost of sincerity.
So put yourself in that place. You’re poor, you can’t get ahead, you spend all of your time coveting your neighbors belongings; Obama is the answer. He’s the anti-Bush. The one man more worried about our reputation than our safety. He makes you all giddy inside. You dream; free health care, government controlled everything, wealth redistribution, oh the wonders. Even with the help of these hypothetical’s I still don’t understand the phenomenon. If you do then you have a serious problem. That or you’re a communist.

I definitely agree that Obama is personality driven rather than experience or issue driven. He’s also the anti-Bush except where it’s too obvious that Bush’s position is actually wise and well-thought-of.
