When the Democrats lack any real argument against a Republican they tend to take the worst street possible. A street full of fantasies and conspiracy theories. They dig deep into the person’s life until something nasty pops out. If they can’t find anything they take the next best route which is to make something up on the smallest piece of evidence. The target for this series of liberal attacks? Palin’s four month old son Trig.

The claims are not only pointless, they are offensive. The liberal machine is always screaming that the government should stay out of people’s lives. The soul argument for abortion is that it’s a woman’s body to do as she chooses. So Sarah Palin decided, theoretically, that her daughter having a child publicly wasn’t the best for her. She decided to go through the trouble of hiding her daughter, acting pregnant and adopted the baby. It’s a stretch but that isn’t stopping the left from running wild with it.

Here’s the supposed proof:

If the presence of a small bump proves pregnancy then I better start taking some vitamins because I am at least four months pregnant. The idea that this somehow proves without a doubt that Sarah covered up her daughter’s pregnancy is like finding a foot print and saying it has to be Big Foot because it’s in the woods.

The conclusion is that it really doesn’t matter who’s baby it is. If it were the daughter’s, Sarah had to go through a lot of trouble to keep people quiet about it. This means friends, family and the doctors all had to lie on her behalf. If they did decide for any reason that the cover up was necessary it is their right to do so. I think protecting her daughter is a positive character trait and not a character flaw.

The truth is that the left is scrambling to find anything negative about Palin to run with. They’ve tried the “no experience” bit but realized that Palin is more experienced than Obama and backed off. Now they are running with the shameless rumor that Palin covered up her daughter’s pregnancy for no apparant reason. It makes sense, if you’re a loon. It would have been much easier to allow her daughter to come out to the public about her pregnancy. I think the left is mad because she didn’t have an abortion. We know how much they revile children with Downs Syndrome.

The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.
