MythBusting: Squelching The Palin Rumors

The way the left works is to attack any conservative that poses a threat to them. The Democratic Party has had this notion of ordained victory since the beginning of the election. Even though four years ago America said loud and clear–three million people loud–that the left wasn’t the best for America. Come November we are going to see a repeat. Why? Because we can’t afford four years of socialism, infanticide and tragic loss in Iraq and the war on terrorism abroad.

Sarah Palin has slapped the face of the left by energizing the one group of people McCain has been unable to gain approval of this election season, the conservatives. The people that defeated Kerry in 2004 have started to come around to McCain. The wound left by Hillary was beginning to heal, the left was focusing on unity, and John McCain came along and tore them wide open.

McCain chose an attractive woman with a history of bringing down politics as usual. He chose a woman rooted in conservatism and the notion that government must be kept in check. In good old Democratic fashion the clinically insane left of the party have come out of the wood work in full force. It’s time to bust these myths.

1.) Palin’s fifth child is actually her grandson.

This was the first myth to be drummed up by the daily nutroots. This one is interesting because the only so called evidence was a picture of Palin’s daughter which supposedly shows her with a baby bump. A bump that is so small that it could just be a result of a couple tacos.

Quickly after the nutroots started to attack Palin’s family Sarah come out and revealed that her daughter Bristol is currently five months pregnant. Not surprisingly, the article originating from DailyKos has been removed. DailyKos has been excitingly attacking Palin at all costs but is too cowardly to stand by their accusations. Amazing.

2.) Palin was a member of the Alaska Independent Party

This is another rumor being drummed up thanks to a video on YouTube of some guy claiming Palin was a member of AIP. The only reason this matters is because AIP is pro-succession. This rumor falls short because there is no party change on record. According to papers Palin has been a registered Republican since 1982. Don’t take my word for it, you can see the documents here (pdf).

    Case closed, moving on.

So what’s next? I’m more than confident that after her speech at the RNC the left is going to go into overdrive hoping to bring her down. Palin strikes me as an intelligent women with a lot of fire and energy that will result in a terrific campaigner for the McCain camp. The rumors have been so vile and decisive that you can smell the fear rising from the crowds of liberals across this county. It’s a beautiful site but it doesn’t smell so pretty.

Join me as I continue to argue againt these lies and slanders. There are bound to be plenty.
