If you wanted to see a clear difference between right wing and left wing bloggers this is one of the best examples you can get. During an interview with ABC’s Stephanopoulos, Obama slipped up while talking about the rumors of him being Muslim. Obama, showing how smooth he is without a teleprompter, said that McCain hasn’t talked about his “Muslim faith.” Stephanopoulos quickly corrected him saying “your Christian faith.”

A video promptly surfaced onto the internet and several of my fellow right-wing bloggers jumped at the opportunity to slander Obama with his little slip of the tongue. Both Red State and Hot Air realized that the clip they were seeing had to be taken out of context and made that clear when they discussed the video. This is a clear difference between left wing bloggers such as Dailykos that have openly admitted truth doesn’t matter.

Quickly after a longer version of the video was released and it was clear that it was nothing more than Obama stumbling over his own words both sites posted an article clearing it up. They were actualy discussing the efforts by Republicans to paint him as a Muslim. That led up to the point that McCain has not been one of those people. McCain has not got into discussing Obama’s faith.

The point is that bloggers on the right have integrity. As soon as it was clear that Obama had not meant he was a Muslim they fixed the error. This is something you do not see on left wing blogs. Left wing bloggers aren’t worried about truth. They are just worried about slandering the right. What did Dailykos do after it became evident Bristol was currently pregnant and not the father of Trig? Nothing. They deleted the original article, whistled a tune and went on looking for more dirt.

That is a crystal clear different between them and us.
