Obama, a Bridge to Nowhere, and a lot of Cigarettes

First, let’s take a trip on a bridge to nowhere.

This one almost flew under my radar but thanks to Chicago Daily Observer it was brought to my attention while I was on a Stumble Upon binge. Palin has been proudly proclaiming that she said “thanks but no thanks” to that bridge to nowhere. She did originally fight for it but ended up not using the federal money for that purpose.

The now famous bridge to nowhere earmark has been a hot button issue thanks to Palin’s rise to fame. It’s interesting to note Obama’s stance on the issue. Both Obama and Biden voted for the bridge and also voted against shifting the funds to Katrina relief instead. It’s not interesting that they supported this earmark but it is interesting that they felt the bridge money was better off in Alaska than in Katrina. Analyze that.

McCain has the luxury of being on the right side of the issue because he didn’t vote at all. Palin can take a stand because she fought for the funds but made the decision not to use them in that manner. Obama is stuck in a loop. He is supposed to be running against McCain but is spending all of his time attacking his veep. No one is doing this to Biden. Isn’t that interesting?

Someone has a dark obsession with other people’s fate.

The argument about McCain’s age isn’t a legitimate explanation for the attacks on Palin. I’ve never seen people so obsessed with someone else’s fate. The reality is that life is unpredictable. I have heard from some people that they think Obama may be a target for an assassination. Is Biden qualified in case this happens? His pathetic run for president says that not very many people think so. We should be talking about that but we aren’t.

How about this. Obama smoked ciggerettes for at least 25 years of his lifetime. The second leading cause of death in America is cancer. Considering Obama smoked for this long means that he smoked anywhere between 50,000 and 70,000 ciggerettes. This is a very important topic to be discussing. He may have quit smoking but he is still at risk for cancer. Better start drilling Biden. Obama might get lung cancer thanks to his little habit and die. Sound the alarms.
