Does McCain and Obama’s Support for the Bailout Bother You?

The public outcry against the bailout bill has been tremendous. Phones are ringing off the hook and people are peeved. That hasn’t stopped both Obama and McCain from getting on top of the bailout and touting it as necisarry. They both voted for the bill as well. Being the maverick that he is I am shocked that McCain didn’t come out against the bill. You would think of all the sudden movements that he makes that it would have been one of them.

I wrote previously on Baldwin and Barr’s disapproval of the bailout. When I speak about how I often agree with the Libertarians and Constitutionalists in general this is why. When it comes to fiscal policies they know that small government is always better. Unlike some so-called conservatives they stand by their principles because they have nothing to lose. If anything that is what I like best about third party candidates. They always stand for what they believe in and never do what is “bad but necessary.”

I haven’t seen any polls on public opinion but I can’t imagine this whole ordeal leaving good marks for either McCain or Obama. Public opinion on the bailout has been almost as dismal as the Senate’s approval rating. Nobody wants to bailout Wall St. without first outlining other possible solutions. Rushing the situation also has the America people feeling like a quick one is being pulled on them. They should feel that way. The government should never be given the benefit of the doubt.

What you should get out of this is that McCain and Obama will do exactly the same thing when it comes to the economy. It’s a corporate comes before the little man kind of mentality that is the root of the government’s problems. These guys are talking about rooting out corruption. They prove themselves by pushing for full support of a bailout that will go to companies that have collopsed because of corrupt practices. Please explain that one to me.

Do You Like Obama/McCain Less Because of Their Support for the Bailout?
