Obama’s Lead Continues to Slip

The polls have fooled us all. For the longest time it was beginning to look like an Obama landslide. That’s not the case anymore and the polls continue to get tighter proving that America is as divided as it ever has been. It’s a testament to the strong will of the conservative’s and pro-Americans of this country. Even with the economy falling on it’s face and looking at hard times Americans are not willing to bring socialism to their country. We still have a fighting chance.

Obama is probably confused as to why his lead is slipping. His friends and colleagues in congress are probably confused as well. The worse America does the better it is for their party and it’s hard for them to understand how they could be losing their lead with what is going on. President Bush should be enough for Obama to fly to victory but it all comes back to the strong desire of citizens to keep America a capitalism. We don’t want your socialism and we don’t want everything to be run by the government.

Let’s hope that voters make the right decision on the 4th. They have a clear choice between a man hoping to bring socialism to America or a man looking to let America be what it is. A free market system will punish the banks and their foolish lending habits. Low taxes and lower spending will allow small businesses to create jobs and build our economy back up. These are great plans, plans that don’t require an overpowering government.

John McCain is not perfect. He has his flaws but his firm understanding of what the constitution permits is fairly strong. Universal health care is not the answer and he will make sure that is not implemented. Give people the power to choose what they want and make getting care across boarders easier. McCain’s plan for the economy is also sound and something proven to work. Leaving the Bush tax cuts in place and allowing the companies to afford new employees is how jobs are created. Giving companies tax credits to hire people is silly and won’t work.

I can understand the lure of Obama and it is a dangerous one. I understand that when you’re going through hard times that it is tempting to ask Uncle Sam to take care of your bills. As harsh as it is your bills are your bills and not ours. Obama’s plans all fall back on the wealthiest of Americans and it is not fair. We should not be punishing success. It’s sad to see so many people falling on hard times but we shouldn’t create more hard times by crippling the job makers of America. Socialism is very attractive to the little man but in all reality this is America and we aren’t a socialism. America is not a country built on handouts. America is a country built on hard working individuals that take care of their own problems. I guess that just isn’t an exciting thing to vote for.
