Censorship: Fairness Doctrine Violates First Amendment Rights
Our first amendment rights to free speech will soon be abysmally violated!
The First Amendment reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.
Recently the largest spending bill in the history of our nation was passed. Yet, while Mr. Obama promised to eliminate earmarks, the entire bill was one humungous earmark. Mr. Obama said that, once the bill was passed, new construction projects would enable Caterpillar (a heavy equipment company) to start hiring new employees. Conversely, since the bill has passed, Caterpillar has had three layoffs, the most recent of which cut the working hours of more than 3,000 employees in half. Great stimulus plan, Obama!
