Welcome to the new TDC, where your voice is heard.

I decided to move away from the standard one man blogging system of Wordpress to a network built with Drupal to allow more people to have a say on TDC. If you've even been to Dailykos.com (a liberal diary system) or RedState.com (a right-wing diary system) you know what I'm going for. The Daily Conservative is not trying to take these people head on. I see this site as an alternative to both of them.

What is the difference?

If you are a far right conservative RedState.com is a great place to go. If you are a neoconservative you'll feel right at home with them. That may offend some of their users but hey, we are what we are. If you are more of a traditional conservative, someone who aligns themselves a little more towards Libertarian ideals, you will feel more at home with The Daily Conservative.

I don't want to start any kind of rivalry and give props to RedState. I love what they bring to the table and hope they see TDC the same way.

How to get involved.

If you have never used either Dailykos or RedState you may have no idea what this site is about. Along side the main articles from myself and guest writers you will find a lot of user generated content. Some websites call them diaries, I am just calling them blogs. Register with the site and you can write you own blog entries that will be accessible to the public. This welcome message for example, is a blog entry.

After you register and write your first blog entry you will see it show up in the left menu under "Latest Blogs." You can share the link with you friends, get comments and if the article is good enough it will be shown on the front page! Simple as that.

Plenty of other features will come along as I develop the site. Look around, get comfortable with the new site and have fun. I hope you feel at home here at The Daily Conservative.

TDC is a community of diverse individuals. They speak for themselves and not for me or the website. The idea is to encourage open debate and discussion. You will find various articles that share views critical of others on the site. No one is bound by any rules or certain topics. We are a 100% uncensored, unmoderated community. Freedom is the idea. I hope you enjoy and share your thoughts with us and debate those you disagree with.
